Active Start

Programs new

Our Active Start program is designed to build listening skills, while building agility, balance and coordination. We start this program at the young age of 3 years old and start to prepare them by age 5 to be able to participate in the older classes. One of our focus points with this program is to prepare the children to be ready for kindergarten by enforcing listening skills and discipline. Stranger Danger Self Defense is also encouraged and taught in this program. Keeping our kids safe is a must.

Kids and Adults Taekwondo

Our Kids and Adults program, is designed to get us physically fit, mentally stronger, build confidence, while having fun in a safe environment. While our focus is on Traditional and Sport TaeKwonDo, we also build strong Self Defense skills and discipline within the student. Our Self Defense system is based strongly around the Hapkido Martial art, one of the most effective Self Defense Martial arts. This Program is designed for all ages to be able to train and we strongly encourage parents to train with their children.

After School Program

5 (1)

At Whitby Taekwondo, we believe that physical fitness is extremely important in children’s development. That’s why we offer a great alternative to traditional after school programs, offering daily Taekwondo classes to Durham and Clarington region kids. We conveniently pick them up daily from school to participate in a martial arts class. Children will benefit from exercise while learning self-defence. They will also have time after class for homework, arts and crafts etc. in a supervised setting.
